On the Brink

This documentary functions as a look into how connectivity has evolved. From the people interviewed, there is a powerful effect of how the “network society” changes the way we carry out tasks in our daily lives than ever before. The network connects us, but is it the same as real, human intimacy?

Carr notes, “Every tool limitations even as it opens possibilities. The more we use it, the more we mold ourselves to its form and function.” (Pg 209)
The internet as a tool, offers us endless information that we want, instantly, but alters the mind blindly, eventually changing us. Who knows what will happen 10 years from now with this kind of fast technological advancements.
