Sports vision training

In the readings due on Thursday (The Shallows, page 139, first paragraph) the author talks about how video-game playing is capable of radically altering visual attentional processing.

I found this video while looking for information about ‘visualization’ in sports, and I think is very appropiate regarding to that idea. It’s a video about ‘Nike Strobe Goggles’, that are glasses that athletes use to improve their skills. The goggles ‘remove’ information from our eyes, by including some kind of ‘curtain’ in between what we see, so that your brain is forced to improve his decision making, to imagine what is going to happen. So when you don’t use the goggles, the game seems very easy! It’s very interesting!
